31 Days 31 Drawings
“Every October artists all over the world take on the INKtober drawing challenge and do one ink drawing a day the entire month.”
I been drawing since I was a child but, every now and then, I have periods of self-doubt as to my technical and conceptual skills. Recently, I have come to the conclusion that it matters very little what others think of my drawings. More importantly: it is almost irrelevant what I really think of them. You cannot please everybody and even the people you love the most won’t understand why and for what purpose you do this strange activity of filling sheets of paper with lines and stains of ink. Eventually some will apreciate them, even the shitty ones, who knows?
Some of my drawings come from a dark place inside my soul, some of them are an expression of light and love. They all have one thing in common: they come from a place the romantics call: “the heart”.
This year I decided to allow myself the pleasure of accepting the INKtober challenge and I had fun. I hope you’ll enjoy my ink drawings. If you do, that’s lovely. If you don’t, there is nothing I can do about it. 🙂
